Nigeria labour congress,NLC, Trade union congress, TUC and United labour congress, ULC, Edo state council said it will embark on a mass pretest on Tuesday 8 January against the deliberate refusal by the federal and state government to approve the new minimum wage for workers in the country.
In a statement made available to our state correspondent in Benin city the state capital by the joint committee chairman, Comr Shaka Otoede, he said the state leadership of NLC, TUC and ULC in the state were mandated to mobilise workers on a peacefully massive protest.
According to him, " this massive prestest in nationwide including the FCT, here in Edo state, the rally will commence from museum ground, king square early in the morning.
"After the protest, we will commence indefinite strike action on Wednesday 9 January in the while of the federation he added.
