FIFA World Cup: Gov. Wike to Sponsor Ten Journalists to Russia.
...as Swan urge Edo government to remember the late media officer to Bendel Insurance.

The Governor of River state, Barr. Nyesom Wike has agree to sponsor ten members of sports writers association of Nigeria, SWAN, to this year world cup in Russia.
Gov. Wike made this know during the 54th full council meeting in port Harcourt recently as it was announced to the entire council by the association president, comrade Honour Sirawoo.
According to swan president, the sporting loving Gov. have decided that Nigeria sports journalist must not be left out in the scheme if things in Russia, he love sports so much and he has decided to extend that love to the writers.
'The Gov. have concluded plans to sponsor ten member of sports writer to the world cup, this is a very big project to the Government of river state and we urge other states to follow suite by equally making a project to sponsor some of our members in there state to the world cup for this will enhance a better delivery of their duties'.
'If every state will sponsor ten sports writers in their respective states we will have enough reportage that will keep Nigerians ahome abreast with what will be happening in Russia in the Nigerian way, Sirawoo added.
However, a one minute silent was also observers for the association late members including Edos Eguakun, the media officer to Bendel insurance football club of Benin and urge the state Government not to forget the family he left behind in view of his contribution to sports development in Edo.
