The families of Osarobo Ogiemudie and Albert Omoruyi both from Uromi in Esan North-East local government Area of Edo state has raised alarmed over the way and manners the police has abandoned the case of an alleged assassination of their sons and sudden disappearance of one Mr Uwadiae Monday Blessing since October, 2013

The families in an exclusive interview with The Point Newspapers in  Benin said their sons were assassinated by political thugs while Uwadiae Monday blessing  narrowly escaped while their sons were not lucky enough as they died in the process.

Mr.  Jacob Ogiemudia who spoke on behalf of the family said their bodies are still in the mortuary while for fear of the unknown, Mr Uwadiae Monday Blessing was said to have been the one who dragged their sons along and has been on run since October 2013.

According to the families spoke person "We the families of the death are calling on higher authority to help find justices to the killing of our sons so as to enable us buried their bodies which is still laying in the mortuary  for the past four years"

Narrating what led to the predicament of their sons, Jocab said the so called   Mr. Uwadiae Monday Blessing was mandated by his party leaders to go and work with the Edo state independent electoral commission (EDSIEC), as an Ad-hoc in respect to Esan North East local government council election scheduled on October 22, 2013.

Jacob maintained that, "all the ad-hoc staff were taken to a school the day preceding the election for training by EDSIEC, after which they were taken to hotel for lodging at Uromi, Headquarters of Esan North-East local government are of Edo state.

According to an insider who alleged then that In the morning of the election, while at the hotel room, copies of written result of the election that was yet to be conducted were shared to the party with a serious warning from a top notch of the then party ACN now APC (name withheld) and that on no account should they act contrary to the instructions and order given to them, the insider asserted.

He explained that party planned to manipulate the result of the election because PDP candidate in the election, Mr John Yakubu, was more popular than the APC candidate, (Sam Oboh), hence result was prepared ahead.

The family further told our reporter that at the end of voting at Uromi, Mr Yakubu of PDP was leading with a wide margin, but right away in Government house Benin city, EDSIEC announced a different result, declaring Sam Oboh as winner of the election.

"The following day, October 23,2013 some PDP members took to the street in protest, both in Benin and Uromi, describing the result announced by EDSIEC as unacceptable and Uwadiae Monday Blessing, was at the forefront, displaying copy of the written result that was earlier distributed to them to buttress  the authenticity of their claim, Jacob added."

Jacob further stated that osarobo Albert and Monday was attack on their way to one Mr chief igiebor a PDP leader by unknown gunmen

All attempts to obtain police comment on this matter, however, proved abortive as the Edo state police command public relations officer said they can not locate the file anymore.
