...as constituents express displeasure over Asoro's interest
The indigenes of Evbuesi, Ugu and Ugboko wards, Orhionmwon south in Orhionwmon Local Government Area, on Thursday thrown more weight behind one of the aspirants vying for the constituency seat at the state house of assembly.
Indigenes of the three ward made this known when Deacon Newman Ugiagbe and his campaign team visited them in a bid to seek for their support in the coming election.
Speaking to the mammoth crowd in Evbuesi, the ward party chairman, Mr Ogbodu Edowmonyi, thanked Deacon Newman Ugiagbe for finding out time to visit them despite his busy schedule. He said, the party faithful members in his ward is ever ready to support Deacon Newman Ugiagbe concerning his ambition which he described as the ambition of every true sons and daughters Orhionwmon south.
According to him, Orhionwmon south constituency have nothing to worry about with this new trends of positive new-era. He said he would have be skeptical about settling for Deacon Newman owning to the fact that the family of the current Hon. representing the the constituency would feel cheated but with the present of the brothers, Mr Timothy Asoro and Mr Wesley Asoro who came with Deacon Newman to seek for their support, he has no worries.
"We gave the position to the Asoro family members before now but the same Asoro family members are saying they don't need the position anymore, so we must respect their views. I salute their courage for coming out publicly to tender unreserved apology to the people of Orhionwmon south for the way their brother Hon. Roland Asoro have treated the people of this constituency in the past three years. We must believe them so that we don't end up blaming ourselves this time.
"The Asoro family said they don't need the position anymore, so we must adhere to their plea he added.
Mr Timothy Asoro, CEO Aso time and Wesley Asoro had earlier told the gathering that they, Asoro family, decided to support Deacon Newman so they can use that as avenue to inform Orhionwmon south that they will never support indiscipline and anything fall short proper representation.
"We Asoro family, we are very sorry for this four years that have been wasted by our brother Roland Asoro, who went to the house to represent his pocket alone, never again shall we give such person opportunity to serve in any position both as elective or as appointee, we want to protect our family name for good Mr. Timothy concluded.
Elder Anthony Okoro and Hon. Osalaye Igbineweka both from Ugu ward equally said, the support from Ugu ward will be entirely for Deacon Newman Ugiagbe who they believe will be the Messiah to Orhionwmon south.
Also at Ugboko Ward, Mr. Steven Iyaha, organising secretary, who spoke on behalf of Ugboko Ward indigenes said, the party can only come out victorious in the forth coming election with Newman as the party flag bearer in the state house of assembly.
Addressing the people, Deacon Newman Ugiagbe, told the party members that he was in the three wards to unveil his manifestos concerning how he will change the narrative of Orhionwmon south in a bid to make sure the constituency take its rightful place in the scheme of things both at the house and the state in general.
"am here to do more than I did before now when I was the LGA chairman for just seven months, I changed the narrative of Orhionwmon as a local government, ask anybody that will come to seek for your support to tell you what they have done before now and what they will do if elected.
He said, it will be very wrong for the constituency to experience another four years of setback just like it is presently simply because the person that was surpose to represent Orhionwmon South ended up representing himself not even the family.
Other people Present in the campaign trail was Princess Elizabeth Iduoze. Hon Victor Eribo, Hon Solomon Osa, Hon Awo Isibor, Hon Blessed Edughean, Mr Evils Elisha, Comrade Johnbull Ojo and Mr Monday Ogiekha.
