NGO sue for peaceful coexistence in Edo

A non governmental organization, Legends Anti- Violence Foundation on thursday in Benin City the state capital expressed worry over the seeming unabated spate of killings and cult related clashes in the past few months. 
  
  The group who staged a protest round major streets with placards carrying inscriptions:  No more killings, No more brutality, No more revenge/retaliation, Shun cultism, it is evil, said the state lost no fewer than 200 persons to cult related clashes in the past few months.
   
Speaking during rhe protest, the Director General of the group, Kadiri Christopher said the group cannot afford to fold its arm a watch innocent souls being killed on daily basis particularly in Upper Sakpoba, Ogida, Ebvuobore parts in the city. 
 He however called on the youths to shed their swords and embrace peace and channel their energy unto meaningful and productive ventures.
Also, the chief councillor of the group Mrs Sharon said the group is readily available to offer assistance to cult members who are willing to trend the path of peace. 
 She attributed the proliferation of cult killings and clashes to lack of good parental upbringing and orientation including emotional stress.
