Education: Lawmaker organize Essay Competition to mark 100 days in office

The member  representing Egor and Ikpoba-Okha Federal Constituency Rt. Hon. Jude Ise-Idehen has stressed the need for government at all level to invest more on education which he claimed remained the bedrock of any nations development.


He made the remarked during the essay writing competition/town hall meeting with members of his constituency organized in his honor to marked one hundred days in office

According to him, no nation can strive without good education hence he decided to organize the event to encourage the students on the importance of good education and also for feedback between him and the people of his constituency that will continue from time to time.

"What you all are seeing here today is just a tip of the iceberg, more are yet to come. Our constituency is a fertile one and as such some of us in authority must live up to expectation in providing the enabling environment through good bills that will definitely translate to law"

The essay writing competition is made up of tertiary, secondary and primary with main topic 'religious tolerance a panacea to social development'.

Some leaders of the people democratic party, PDP, present at the epoch making event like Pastor Osagie Ize Iyamu and others commended the national Assembly member for  setting a good pace.


They urge the lawmaker to keep to his electioneering campaign promises  which borders on rescuing the people through empowering of  youths and providing  other social and economic amenities that will ameliorate the plight of the people.

According to them, 'despite being in tribunal for the better part of the days he was able to come out with such initiative and expressed confidence that he will not disappoint his constituents.

Hon Ise-Idehen tasked the participating  students to be symbols of good character and morals to their parents and entire world.

At the end of the competition, winners where announced with various prizes like cash to support their fees, laptops and other items where given to them.

The participating students and pupils thanked the lawmaker for the initiative. They said it will go a long way to assist their education pursuit.
