The bill for the amendment of teachers registration council act has passed through first reading at the House of representatives.
The bill when pass into law will help reduce unregistered and unqualified teachers in Nigeria educational system with stiff penalty attached and other punishable actions and sanctions.
When presenting the bill before members of the green chambers, the member representing Egor and Ikpoba Okha federal constituency Hon Jude Ise-Idehen who is the sponsor said, it will go a long way to reshaping, enhancing and change the narrative of education for the good of the nation.
The bill among others which scaled through first reading has been slated for second reading at a later day as directed by the speaker of the House Hon Femi Gbajabiamila.
