COVID-19: Edo Law maker donates thousands hand sanitizers to constituents

In other to contain, prevent the spread of the dreaded corona virus across his constituency, the member representing Orhionmwon south constituency in Edo state house of assembly, Rt Hon. Roland Asoro have donated hand sanitizers to his constituents members.

Speaking to newsmen during the exercise in Ugo village, the Special Assistant to the state governor, Comr. Eribo Osaretin who led the committee to various political wards and villages that makes up Orhionmwon south constituency said, Hon Asoro instructed them to visit, Ukpato ward, Ugboko ward, Evbiusi ward, Ugu ward, Urhonigbe south and Urhonigbe north. Comr Eribo said, the donation became imperative in making sure that his people do not suffer any ailment from the virus that is currently standing as a major obstacle global advancement.

According to Comr Eribo, 'what we are doing in Orhionmwon south today is not just to share these hand sanitizers as donated by Hon Asoro, but to also teach them how to prevent the spread of the deadly virus. They should follow the hygienic measures put in place by world health organisation (WHO).

"We are here in these communities, speaking to our people and the community heads, given them hand sanitizers showing them how to use it and how to enforce the social distance among themselves. We know their challenges, some may not have light but the narratives with change in no distance time as the executive governor Mr Godwin Obaseki is doing everything humanly possible to alleviate the sufferings. As we believe that Hon Asoro is also sponsoring bills that is of economic and social benefit to us.

When the committee visited the palace of the Okaevbo of Urhonigbe His Highness, Chief Ogbeiwi Uyunmwungbebe, they informed the highness of the present in the community, donated pieces of hand Sanitizers.

Receiving the hand sanitizers from them, Chief Uyunmwungbebe who was filled with joy prayed for the donor and that of the committee in charge.
