Nigeria Govt Using Corona virus to Siphon Money - Activist

A social critic and a Benin-based activist Mr Patrick Eholor have accused federal and state government of using COVID-19 outbreak as a means of siphoning the nation wealth.

He alleged government at both levels are seriously using covrona virus as avenue to loot more money from the national and state treasury. 

According to Eholor who is also the president of One Love foundation, 'when you see what is happening in countries like Italy, USA and others you will believe that COVID-19 is real but when you see what is happening here in Nigeria, it will be more like a doubt, whether COVID-19 is here, especially when you hear or see how my brothers in the north are making prank of this whole thing, saying, COVID-19 'barawo' our government have never prepare for any emergencies. We may not have nature disaster as a nation, but what we have is leadership disaster.

'today the Nigeria police force have become cashiers, they are cashing in on the pandemic, all becaus of hunger fight'

'Government at all levels are using COVID-19 to make money for themselves because of the stimulus package coming in from international and cooperate bodies and other individuals, positioned at supporting countries that are badly affected by the pandemic. That is why ten billion naira was given to Lagos State government. Our Nigerian government is not truthful to us as citizens, they are using the pandemic to siphon our common patrimony'

'The federal government have not be responsive, including my state, Edo state. The little palliative they shared was shared across political party line. In Ugbor here where I live, there was nothing for my neighbors. I'm from Ovia North East, I have to use my own hard earn money for buy relief materials that I gave to my people Mr Eholor added.
