Rainstorm: Victims Get Relief Materials from State Government.

After two months of the disastrous Rainstorm that rendered numerous indigenes of Urhonigbe village in Orhionmwon Local Government of Edo state the Victims
have started receiving relief materials from Edo state government.
The gesture from the state government was a response to the Motion Moved by the councillor representing them at the legislative arm of Orhionmwon LGA.
Hon. Comrade Hope Enogieru had moved a motion on during one of the plenaries in the month of April when he called on all concerned authorities and spirited individuals to come to the aid of the people of Urhonigbe South as houses and properties worth millions of naira was affected by the rainstorm.
The first set of the village indigenes received their relief materials as palliative measures recently with the supervision of the local government chairman and the councillor representing Urhonugne south ward 8.
Speaking to the our correspondent concerning the distribution of the materials, the Local government boss, Hon. Sylvester Okoro Ekogiawe said, the gesture by the state government is part of fulfilling their campaign promise, saying that a good government like the current one led by Godwin Obaseki will always prepare for a raining day like this. He said under his administration as the council boss every community mist benefit from the decadence of democracy.
Also, Hon. Hope Enogieru equally thanked the state government for their prompt action towards making sure that the April Rainstorm victims in his ward were captured by the Edo government in quick response.
Some of the beneficiaries like Obasuyi osagioduwa, Imade Johnbull and Owede Sunday who spoke to newsmen, said they were very happy to be remembered by the state government especially at this time when they are in very need of help owning to the facts that some of them have being homeless since the incident happens.
A total of sixty seven indigenes benefited from the first phase of the relief materials as they await the federal response.
