A member of the All Progressive Congress, APC was involved in a ghastly motor accident after the Saturday rerun election in some part of Orhionwmon local Government area.
Mr Sunday Omobude who contested election under the defunct All Peoples Party, APP was amongst other party faithfuls who went to give their total support to ensure total victory for the party and was nock down by a vehicle when he was coming back from the exercise, after witnessing his party claiming the Orhionwmon constituency II seat in Edo state house of assembly.
He said, he left for Benin after the conclusion of the exercise in his ward Urhonigbe south ward 8.
According to him: I arrived Benin at about 6pm but it was raining, I have to take refuge somewhere, but as soon as it stop raining, when i was walking on the road side by Christ chosen church, along Benin Agbor road when a Siena car with about five boys knock me down, my left leg was shattered.
'The boys wanted to run away but thank God for some other good Nigerians that was around, who forced me on them that they must take me to the hospital, then they took me away, on our way to the hospital one of them suggested they should take me to Okhuahe and deposits me inside the river saying that they don't want people to know.
"When i heard that evil talk from him, I have to plead with them to drop me in the house of a family member close by, they said, they will not drop at the axact house, I agreed but since they didn't know the exact location of the house, on getting to a particular place which is the house of the family member, I quickly alerted the family member who came and held them before the police came.
Mr Omobude said the state Governor and his fellow members of the ruling APC should not abandon him in his present condition even as the Doctor in the hospital (orthopedic hospital) where he is undergoing treatment will be performing a major operation on him anytime soon after rejection from the hospital earlier rush to.
