Edo Jobs: Over 150 Edo indigenes train on beekeeping for beginners ...this is a laudable initiative by Obaseki says participants

Ehor - Over one hundred persons have been train on bee keeping in Edo state. The event which took place at the Edo food and Agric cluster, Ehor the headquarters of Uhunwmonde local Government area saw various participants draw from across the 18 local government areas in the state.
The training was partner by marketing development in Niger delta, MADE, where the participants were extensively trained on bee keeping and homey production for economic and commercial purpose.

Engineer Osasuyi  Odia, facilitator, taught the participants on biology of bee keeping and colony development, types of bee which he categorised into three types, how to locate the best place for bee keeping and how to gather the bees all these he said is the bed rock of any successful bee keeper who process them into honey for commercial and economic aim.

Roland Ehigiamusoe, PhD, also guided the participants on the challenges of bee keeping and site selection said they must be ready to learn and must place the bee hive (equipment) rightly.

Akhare Joy Ighalo, one of the participants express satisfaction on the training, she said it would be more attracting  if Edo jobs and their partners would match their words with action by providing them with various startup equipments.

Other participant Rev Nnamdi Denis, said he love the bee keeping training and sued for more of such thing so that Edo can take the leading role economically.

Mr Ralph from MADE during the closing remark told every participants present  that the organizations interested in giving startup equipments are ready to give  ten hive (equipment) for a start.
