In a bid to curtain the continue spread of the epidemic disease revenging the world, Orhionmwon council yesterday embarked on community-community sensitisation awareness campaign.
The task force led by the Council Boss visited motor/motorcycle parks, markets, health centers, palaces and other public places to enlightened the rural dwellers on the needs to take a precautionary measure to avoid contacting/spreading the virus.
In a statement made available to FACTREPORTRS, by the chief press secretary to the LGA boss, Roy Osariemen, he said the council boss educated the traders and others at Urhehue central market in Ugu Ward, on the best way to avoid contacting the dreaded disease which is continuous washing of hands with soap, wearing of facemask/hand gloves, use of hands sanitisers, avoiding of crowd and handshakes.

Okoro who seriously warned that the message should be strictly adhere to, saying the virus is real hence the need not to be careless of the instructions given while any case detected should be immediately report to the health center closer to them onwards movement to coronavirus designated isolated centers.

Meanwhile, the Primary Health Centers Coordinator in Orhionmwon local government council, Dr. Edward Iseh admonished residents of Orhionmwon not to be panic that the disease is not a death sentence if the precautionary measures highlighted are judiciously followed in avoiding the disease.
Dr Iseh listed some of the virus symptoms as fever, dry cough, shortness of breath/breathing difficulties and vigorous sneezing. He adviced anyone experiencing such signs to visit the hospital immediately.
Items distributed by the council to health centers, churches, palaces, parks and other public places are hand washing drums, soaps, hand sanitisers, facemasks and gloves.
In company of the Chairman were all Councilors, council heads of departments, supervisors, Secretary to the Council, Special Adviser and Chairman's Aides.
