Prioritize your aims Oliha urge GBD.

As part of it effort to strengthen the body in giving it a proper direction toward actualizing is primary aims and objectives, the members of association of Great Benin Descendant (GBD) paid a courtesy visit to Chief Odionwe Oliha, the Oliha of Benin kingdom in his palace along Siloko road, Benin city.
Briefing the Oliha on what necessitated the visit, the Coordinator General of the group Mavis Izoduwa Amowie told chief Oliha that the group was in his palace to solicit for prayers and the need to informed him about the urgent reason that birthed the group, a situation he said was to address the urgent need of the people in the area Unity, teaching of Benin language and history amongst others.
He said having carefully observed that The Binis are virtually every where on the surface of earth but does not have that synergy as one entity for proper identification.
'We are Binis, but we do not really have one thing that brings us together as one, the language that was suppose to be our symbol of identity has been neglected over the years, some of us can not even speak our language. We want to bring together every sons and daughters of Igodomigodo back together as one, be it those in Togo, Ghana, every other parts of the world and all over the sovereign Nigeria. We have some of our people that left for greener pasture outside our immediate kingdom or geographical location, who we as a body want to bring back, even as some of them had earlier agreed. We are equally working a permanent day that will be approve by the Oba as 'Benin day' to be celebrated annually by all sons and daughters of ogodomigodo worldwide, Amowie added.
On his part the Oliha of Benin, Chief Odionwe Oliha, prayed for the GBD, he equally advise and appreciated the group and sued for more unity.
Chief Oliha said he was happy to receive the body and charged them to do more in the area of Unity so that the primary aims of the group will manifest.
